HealthInfo Platorm
Earlier this year Patriot Labs initiated a working group to outline an approach for improving health within underserved populations and eliminating health disparities using mobile communications technology. The result was HealthInfo, a health information communication, outreach and engagement platform. The aim of HealthInfo is to effectively engage underserved populations with locally accessible health service providers and resources. It is a mobile health initiative built on a cloud-based information architecture, real-time mobile phone messaging technology, and a unique culturally-attuned content personalization strategy.
The project team currently includes: American Institutes for Research; Howard University, Center for Minority Health Services Research; Georgetown University Medical Center, Minority Health & Health Disparities Research; Seabourne Inc.; and Bixal Solutions Inc.
HealthInfo specifically addresses the issues surrounding how to “engage” the public in their own health care and “personalize” how the information is presented. Those interested in learning more about the HealthInfo Platform should contact Ron Garnett.
